TYPE 1 DIABETES:

- Family history should be recorded to evaluate the risk of type 2 diabetes, along with early detection of diabetes and Gestational diabetes must be an integral part of all antenatal care visits.
- Healthcare providers should be trained in the identification, treatment, management and follow up during pregnancy.
