Brushing Techniques
Before understanding the brushing techniques, you have to follow few things which are as follows:
- Choose your brushing equipment wisely– Your toothbrush should contain soft bristles to avoid damage to the gums and enamel of your tooth. Use soft or medium bristle toothbrushes, with American Dental Association approval. Change your toothbrush every 3 months to prevent the deposition of bacteria and damage to the tooth bristles.
- Brush twice daily– You should brush your teeth twice daily first when you wake up and second before going to bed. It is better to brush your teeth when you eat some sticky food, as it will remove the debris and sugar from your teeth immediately.
- Brush only for two minutes: Thorough cleaning of the tooth only needs two minutes, if you are spending less than two minutes brushing then your teeth will not be cleaned properly. Set a timer on your phone before you start brushing.
- Gently brush your teeth– Be very gentle while brushing your teeth because vigorous brushing will result in enamel loss. Gently brushing your teeth will not cause any damage to your teeth.
